2 Year Anniversary

It was two years ago when we arrived to Dr. Robin's office carrying so many emotions with us. We were nervous, scared, excited...you get the idea. It was Transfer Day...the day that our embryos would be transferred into Amy's uterus. There were two Grade A embryos that would be part of this amazing marvel of reproductive medicine. Our first Transfer Day was postponed due to Amy's eggsceptional egg making abilities which caused her to hyper-stimulate and it was decided that it would be in the best interest of her and the embryos if we postponed. So the day arrived, August 30th, 2007. We arrived early so Amy could get her massage & accupuncture, both of which were going to give us the best chance at a successful pregnancy. We will both remember this day forever. We sat in the dimly lit room with soft music playing as Amy's bladder attempted to fill up. A full bladder is a must prior to transfer so there we sat thinking, wondering, praying. And then the moment came...Dr. Robin entered the room followed by the embryologist with the two embryos. We got to see a picture of the two embryos (see below) and then it was time to transfer. Dr. Robin allowed us to record the entire event so we watched as our little babies entered their mommy for the first time. Tears filled our eyes as the emotions were too much to contain any longer. After Amy relaxed with our babies inside, it was time to head home for 24 hours of bedrest. What a day it was and what a blessing we received from Dr. Robin and everyone at the New Hope Center. 2 years later, I sit here looking at our Blessing. He is now 15 1/2 months old and is simply amazing. He is my everything. I love everything about him...his curly blonde hair, his big blue eyes, his tiny little nose and of course his smile...his skinny arms and legs, his tiny little butt, his big belly after he eats a good meal and that sweet little voice...I love how he calls me Mama, even though i am Daddy, I love how he looks at me. I could go on and on because I love everything about him. He melts my heart...a heart that at one time hurt so badly because i never thought i would know this love. Now i am the luckiest man in the world to have such a wonderful family filled with so much love. And to think that 2 years ago, these were our first pictures of what would come to be our Peyton.

And the moment that the embryos entered Amy's uterus.

Busch Gardens

Mommy and Daddy decided on Sunday to take me for my very first trip to Busch Gardens. We could not wait to check out the new Sesame Street area that they have added! Lately I have really been into Elmo and the past week, I have started saying "Memo" otherwise known as Elmo!

I was not really sure what to think when we got there...
Mommy tried to help me out a little bit....
Then my daddy did his best...
I warmed up a little bit...but then I was ready to hop in the stroller and take a nap!

After a two hour nap in my stroller, we came back to meet Elmo...this is as close as I got to him...
Maybe next time I will let go of Daddy for a brief second!

Hurricane Bill Or Not

Mommy & Daddy decided to go and see if Hurricane Bill was really going to give us some big waves here in Va Beach...

So Saturday after my nap we jumped in the car and headed to the oceanfront hoping to see some big waves!

No such luck, but we did manage to take some cute pictures while we were there!

Look who came to play

My little girlfriend, Grace, came over to go swimming with me on Tuesday! We had so much fun playing. Our mommies took us to the pool and I personally did not want to be there. They keep it way too cold for me!!!

Me crawling to catch up with Grace...

Gracie and the duckie!!

Playing in the toys...

Playing with the frogs at the Botanical Gardens

Were you guys thinking I meant real frogs...No way! Mommy would not let me play with those. These kind just liked to shoot water out at me! I had so much fun running from one to the other and letting the water splash on me!

Waiting...waiting...waiting...

This little guys sprayed some water on me

I really liked this one...

Botanicanl Gardens

Sunday we went to the Botanical Gardens for a little while! We had so much fun playing in the water!

My first time with all the spouts of water..

I loved trying to catch the water!

Look at this!
Trying to stop the water like Daddy was doing!

Trying to catch the water again...what I did most of the time!
