Mommy turned 30!

Wow...can you believe that my Mommy turned 30 last week? She ended up having celebrations for a week. She could not believe it! The first one was in NC...another reason we headed that way last weekend. We had such a good time. The weather was beautiful and so we decided to grill out with everyone. We even had a yummy Birthday cake from Ketchie Creek (one of Mommy's favs) to celebrate with.

Then we of course celebrated Mommy on her actual birthday which was April 22! She also shares her birthday with a few others near and dear...Carlee (cousin) and Grace (my buddy)! We just spent the day having lunch with Daddy and then Mommy and I did some shopping that afternoon before Daddy came home! When he got home though, he surprised us with another birthday cake! We went out for dinner to our very favorite restaurant...No Frill Grill and had such a nice casual dinner!

And then the big one, which Mommy had absolutely no idea about. Daddy had been planning for weeks and he and Nana pulled it all together. Mommy and Daddy were supposed to be going to have dinner at Bonefish Grill on Friday night. Mommy was ready and had come to terms with leaving me with my Nana and Pop Pop for the evening. So, off we went to surprise my mommy! We arrived at Nana and PopPop's house on Friday night. We went in just like normal, but all of a sudden Mommy went upstairs first and everyone yelled "SURPRISE!"


Daddy kept me behind for a few minutes so that I would not get scared...I get a little upset when there are lots of loud noises...




Daddy had pulled it off...Mommy had no idea and still does not know how he did it, but it was a success. It was a night filled with family, old friends (Amy Sue) and yummy food!


We had Moe's for dinner and for those of you who don't know, we love Mexican food around here! Here are some of the decorations ...

We saved the best for last...the BIRTHDAY CAKE! This is from Patti Cakes out of Moyock...she is incredible with her designs and the flavor is unbelieveable. This is who is doing my Birthday cake...Can you guys believe I will be one year old in two weeks...Where has the year gone???



Oh well, Happy Birthday Mommy! We hope that you had a great time at all of your birthday celebrations! We love you!!!

Weekend Trip

This weekend we headed to NC to visit everyone! We were celebrating Mommy's Birthday, since it is in the middle of the week! On our trip down I slept for the first 3 hours which made mommy and daddy very happy. When I woke up though, I was ready to move and be free...so we made a pitstop in Chapel Hill. Daddy kept telling me that this is where I was going to school when I was old enough, and that he was going to have to move there with me. My Daddy is a funny man! So while we were there we went to one of Mommy's favorite places called the Yogurt Pump, and let me tell you it was so yummy. Then we walked around for a few minutes and we went to buy a Carolina T-Shirt for Daddy and Mommy and myself. Don't I look cute...


Then it was time to get back in the car...not a happy thing for me. We managed to make it in time for dinner, but needless to say, I was ready to be out of that car!
We did all kinds of fun things while we were visiting my MawMaw and PawPaw (these names are yet to be determined!!!) On Saturday, we went to Emily's softball game. I hope one day she can show me how to play.




While Emily was playing, I was discovering the pavement! Mommy and Daddy were trying to help me so I would not end up with hurt knees. I did a pretty good job!



After the game, we went to MawMaw and PawPaw's house and I took a nice long nap! I felt so refreshed afterwards and that was a good thing because we were having a party on Saturday night for my Mommy! More to come later!

Baby Stellan

For all of those who are blog stalkers like we ourselves have become...Please keep Baby Stellan in your prayers today! He is undergoing heart surgery as I type this! We plan to wear orange today to show the world that we will continue to pray for Stellan and for the doctors involved!

Happy Easter 2009

Easter was such a fun and exciting day. First we got dressed to go to Church (Nana bought me this special Easter outfit). Here I am on the front porch.





And then I wanted to give my Mommy a special Easter kiss



After Church it was time to go join family and friends at my Nana & Pop Pop's house.

It was a beautiful day so we wanted to get some pictures on the front porch.

Then it was time to open up my special Easter Basket and play Peek-a-Boo with my new book.

Here is one of Daddy's favorite pictures. The funny story behind this picture is that Daddy used to sit just like this when he was young.



As the day went on, smiling was harder and harder. Here I was with my cousins Cole and Bailey, but without a smile.



And then it was time to go Easter Egg Hunting. Carlee, Cole & I had such a fun time finding the eggs.

Peyton Walking

Peyton started walking last Sunday. This weekend he started taking multiple steps. Here is some video of him showing Nana what he can do! You can also hear him saying "Dog" or what we believe is him saying dog! Enjoy!
