Christmas Cards for Daddy's job

It was time for Daddy to order Christmas cards to send out for his job. He normally orders the business christmas cards, but this year he hired a model to pose for his Christmas card. I was sure he had lost his mind. With the economy the way it is, how could he ever pay a model to pose for a Christmas card? What would he have the model do? For all of you who do not know, Daddy runs the family Cabinet company, B&T Kitchens and Baths. You know what I was thinking...is he going to do some cheesy post of a model posing in a kitchen like he or she was cooking up a holiday treat? No Daddy, NO...
So Sunday afternoon, after we took our monthly trip to the Picture People, it was time for him to bring in the model to pose in our kitchen. Daddy had the scene set...the mixer was out on the countertop, the rolling pin nearby, the snowpeople (is that PC?) and some powdered sugar. Daddy must have spent an hour preparing the scene. He would move an item over a little, then back, then over a little more and then back. All the while, he was snapping pictures to get the scene perfect. Finally, he had what he was looking for so it was time to bring in the model.

And the picture that made it on the B&T Kitchens and Baths Christmas Card...

Merry Chrismtas!

My Expressions

Daddy has been trying out some new things on his camera and boy did he catch some of my most unique expressions...let's take a look at what the camera found:

NO I am not Pooping!

What are you doing up there, Daddy?

If you will notice, I have two teeth coming in right behind each other. This picture shows them off. Mommy and Daddy can tell you all about the fun these two teeth give me at night :)

Baptism

He took them up in his arms, put His hand upon them, and blessed them
Mark 10:16

On Sunday November 16th, I, Peyton Kyle Riley, was Baptized at New Philadelphia Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. This was my mommy's Church and the same Pastor that married my Mommy and Daddy 5 years ago. My Nana & Pop Pop drove up from VA on Saturday and joined us as we celebrated. We had a great dinner at the Twin City Chop House on Saturday night and then the day was here. We went to breakfast and then headed to the Church. My Aunt Kim carried me into the ceremony and I was surrounded by my mommy, daddy, nona, popi, nana & pop pop as Pastor Worth Green Baptized me. After the ceremony, my nana & pop pop headed home and we headed to pack up everything at nona & popi's house before heading home. This capped off a very special weekend. Thanks to everyone who witnessed my Baptism: Mommy, Daddy, Nona, Popi, Nana, Pop Pop, Aunt Kim, Cousin Emily, Great Grandma Neal, Randy, Kay, Morgan & Jerry. You all have a special place in my heart. I love you all and missed everyone who couldn't make it to the ceremony.

I am 6 months old!!

On November 15, 2008 I turned the big 6 MONTHS! Can you believe it, me six months old already! Mommy decided that this was such a special day that we needed to celebrate and so we did! Mommy and Nona bought me a birthday cake but mommy for some reason would not let me jump into it...I wonder what she was thinking!

After we got back from that adventure, we headed to the mall so that mommy could find me a hat and a jacket! It has turned really cold here in VA so mommy keeps telling me I have to wear this silly thing on my head and keeps putting layers of clothes on me when we go outside! Their trip was successful! We also got to see my Aunt Kim and my cousin, Emily. Emily got to come home with us because Graham (another cousin) was sick and on his way to the doctor! (Get better Graham!)

We headed home so we could all get ready and go to dinner! Guess who was coming all the way to VA to go to dinner with me...you guessed it, my NANA and POP POP! I was a little confused as to why they were in NC to see me...was it because I was six months old today? I began to feel like someone was not telling me something...we will see though!

We are back...

You are probably wondering where on earth we have been...I can answer that for you...mommy and daddy took me to NC again this past week! Last Wednesday night, we loaded up our car again and off we went. I thought it was kind of crazy leaving on a Wednesday night, but I was just along for the ride! I later found out that daddy was going to be taking classes in NC and me and mommy were going to be hanging out with my Nona and Popi! So all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday my daddy and two of his buddies ( Aaron & Jimmy) were in class learning how to make countertops! Yes my daddy can make your countertops at home look just like this, or for that matter your floors, shower, backyard...whatever you choose! These are some of the pictures from class, but check out Granicrete for more information.

I think they had a lot of fun. Aaron and Jimmy even got to stay at my Nona & Popi's house! I felt like I had all the attention all of the time! Go figure...how could anyone resist me??? So while they were in class, mommy, Nona and myself just went shopping each day! We had a great time, besides all of the rain!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a great time. We got some pictures taken at the Picture People early in the day with my buddy, Grace.

Then we made cupcakes

got dressed

and headed to my Aunt Meg & Uncle Hutch's house for the Halloween celebration.

Mommy and Daddy took me trick or treating and we visited all of our friends in the neighborhood.
